When Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) first made up the story of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" to amuse Alice Liddell he wrote the whole story down, by hand, in a book which is now on show in the British Library. He illustrated the story with his own drawings in pen and ink. We have taken some of these pictures and some of his text to make these tiles.
